Mike
Mike is the third generation of a family of musicians; both his
father and grandfather were professional musicians. He played snare
drum for Strathpeffer Pipe Band for eight years until his early
twenties.
At the age of eighteen though, he had bought his first bass guitar
to jam with ex-school friends who needed a bass player! Shortly
after this, some jamming sessions and low key gigs amongst
half a dozen Mountain Rescue pals who were also musicians, 'Rhythmnreel'
was formed in the mid 90's.
The idea was to blend some pipe/fiddle/guitar led Celtic rock with
some more traditional music and a twist of rock along the way, with
Stu and Mike still hanging in there as original members.

honour and a pleasure to play to amazing crowds all over Scotland
and regularly on the Continent, sharing the experience with a
fantastic group of musician's and having great fun along the way.
