Rhythmneel are celebrating over twenty years on the road with a brand new LIVE album.  It’s a follow up to their 2012 album ‘Twenty’ and 2009 album ‘The Crossing’

The band have toured extensively throughout the Highlands and Islands, Scotland as a whole and also regularly in Europe. They have plenty of gigs far and wide, coming to a village hall near you soon!

The band usually turn out as a six/seven piece line up, and whilst the core of the sound is Pipe and Fiddle led Celtic Rock, the band have the versatility to play a broad range of material at most gigs, from Ceilidh Dances through to Classic Covers.

The band are in high demand for music festivals & venues, marquee gigs, street parties, Highland Games/Gala Dances, corporate functions, weddings and other similar events throughout Scotland and overseas; and regularly travel to Holland, Switzerland and Germany each year.

The band's set-list for larger events such as festivals and overseas gigs, is Celtic rock- based (usually with a contemporary rock twist), including own arrangements of traditional Scottish tunes led by pipes and fiddle.

Rhythmnreel are in the unique situation of having three fantastic fiddle players who share duties between them at the various gigs. Debbie Ross has played with the band for a number of years and is responsible for putting together most of the celtic rock arrangements the band play and record. Paul Dzialdowski is a veteran and stalwart of the Feis movement and folk scene in the North of Scotland, and last but not least is Gillian Stevenson who has played in some of the country's best ceilidh bands over the past 20 years. They come up with many of our traditional Scottish tunes.  For larger music events such as festivals the band regularly play on stage with all three fiddle players, an unbelievable wall of sound!

The band also has access to a pool of outstanding Pipers.  Long standing Rhythmnreel Pipers Catriona and her sister Shona MacAffer have been supported by recent additions to the line up, Ali Levack and Conall Macillechiar.  Both are products of the Plockton Traditional Music School of Excellence and both play Highland and Border Pipes as well as Whistle.  Ali is currently studying Highland Music at the RSAMD in Glasgow.
